When linking art boards together I'm still unable to re position the blue "arm" or selector or whatever the name is to another position on the same art board, or any other art board for that matter. When I try to delete the whole link it appears to be gone, but then it appears back on the same place again when I'm about to drag a new link etc. It's a nightmare. It always snaps back to the first position! It's been like this since first Windows release. Very cumbersome. How do I move that link position AND make it stay? Is someone working on a bug fix for this? Cause surely this must be a bug?

I tried looking up a similar request on Adobe XD Feedback : Feature Requests & Bugs but was not able to. That being said, I am still not able to understand the nature of your issue. Can you provide me with a way to reproduce your issue in this format?
Thanks,
Preran

It's pretty much as I said. I can't edit the links as described. If your not able to re-create the same issue its not of importance to MY problem cause I've had it on and off ever since the program was launched for Windows.
When I drag the "blue link arms" to an art board I expect that position to be possible to re positioned to another spot on the same artboard but its not. It is ALWAYS stuck to the SAME position on the art board. When delete the link and drag it to another spot om the artboard it snaps back AGAIN to the initial spot on the art board. In other words, I'm not able to edit any links!

I see what you mean. I will check with the team, but you can place a feature request in Adobe XD uservoice with the title "Ability to customize connector linking" or something to that effect.
Thanks,
Preran

At the moment the "wires" always go from the trigger to the center of one side of the side artboard they link to. We don't support changing the position on the destination of the wire at the moment.
As Preran mentions, please file a UV request so we can keep track of the idea and see how many people would like this feature.

So how do you add a link from a defined area in one art board to another? When you select any image, graphic or element you get the option to link from that object. You can also drag that link to anywhere in the other art board your linking it to, but it will always snap back to the center of that art board? Then why am I able to link the first link the first time to any space on the linked art board but not the next? Confusing.

You are able to define the trigger element/hotspot that starts the transition to another artboard, however the destination artboard will always be scrolled to the top (unless you select the "Preserve scroll position" checkbox). You cannot currently link to a specific place on the destination artboard.

But what's the point with a "preserve scroll position" feature if your not able to define or select the position it should preserve?

It preserves the current scroll position when viewing the prototype. This gif might help illlustrate:

Thanks for the link and response but I don't get this. When I link one art board to another checking the preserve scroll position, it doesn't preserve the same scroll position when I demo it in prototype mode. It goes to the top of the screen no matter what, so if I scroll down a bit on one art board and then click to go to next, that next screen starts from the top and not from the position I scrolled to in the prior screen.

From what I remember, this feature has been introduced in one of the later updates. Have you had a chance to test it?
Thanks,
Preran

The link snaps to the same x and y coordinate as before. Nothing has changed.

My fault - this feature isn't yet available in XD as yet. I tested it myself as well.
