Hi Madhuri,

Thanks for reaching out and trying the steps in the troubleshooting guide. In addition to what Jagriti said, I would suggest you please try the below steps in sequence-

  • Sign out of XD and Creative Cloud Desktop app.
  • Quit Creative Cloud Desktop app and kill all related processes from the activity monitor
  • Restart the machine and then sign back in Creative Cloud and XD.

If it doesn't help, please try uninstalling and reinstalling XD using the cleaner tool: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Hi Madhuri,

Sorry for the inconvenience you are facing in xd. Would you please try quitting all instances of XD in task manager(win)/ activity monitor(mac). And then try updating xd again.

Hope it helps.

Regards,

Jagriti Kashyap

Hi Jagriti,

I have already tried that but somehow once I force quit CCX Process
including all the other Adobe instances as mentioned in self
troubleshooting guidelines, I see them again in the activity monitor(mac)
almost immediately as soon as I force quit. I was unable to update.

Thanks, Madhuri
