Unable to update Component states in shared library.

So i've been creating a bunch of components with various states in a library to share in my projects.

eg: simple buttons with hover function, a drop down list.. nothing fancy.

When sharing this library for usage in other projects, non of the states of any of the components is migrated?

All i can see is the default state of the components.

Right click and edit the orignal component in the shared library brings me back to the component with all states available as intended

XD, what's going on?

Why can't i share diffrent states of components?

Hi @Deleted User , if you're unlinking the component that might cause the problem, I think making component local like in this conversation can resolve the issue, if that's the case: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-xd-discussions/unlink-component-losing-states/td-p/12591169 , Hope this helps.

Hi @AkinGn

Thank you, yes in the thread you're referring to,  similar issues are described.  Unfortunatly, the solutions that are described are not satisifiyng.  Unlinking the component will give me only the default state and none of the other states I created in the original library.
I'm putting a lot of effort in this issue cince I created a default library that was going to be used for various future projects. While reading about work arounds and possible solutions, i't seems to me like XD is just not up for the task to share compontents that include states in linked libraries.

For now, i will try out different software as suggested in numerous threads

I've also been having issues with components updating only as of recent.  I am not the owner of our file where the components are made, but the last 4 months, I've been able to make modifications and updates to components and see these changes in the component library in other XD files. Right before Christmas break, I made several new components and updated existing components. My colleagues who this library is shared with are not seeing the updates I've made in the last few weeks. We haven't had any issues with this in the past, so I don't think it has to do with ownership. I even tried removing some of the shared members and reinviting them--that did not work. What do you think is happening?

Hmmm I see, unfortunately as I'm not familiar with the issue, thinking what I'd do, I'd probably try suggestions/methods in "correct answers" of this conversation: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-xd-discussions/linked-component-not-updating/td-p/10694452
