when i export an asset it makes the boundary bigger making it hard to use in android studios and xcode

When i select an an asset on XD the boundary is locked around the boundary of the image however when i export the image it widens the boundary which means causes the image to be squashed when i use it as a background for my app as shown in the below photos. I am a developer not a designer so if i am exporting wrong or using XD wrong i would appreciate any advice.

If you remove the drop shadow would it export to the right size?

Hi Alecb,

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. I would like to know if there is any container in the artboard for this image in XD? Is it snapped to the boundary? I would also like to know if you could share the link of the prototype in a private message so that I can investigate it.

Thanks,

Atul_Saini
