XD freezes, can't select ANY option from the "Convert '/' to groups" popup or do anything at all

Version: 50.0.12.14, CC Sync 5.8.1.19

 

Just as the title states. This is a shared document which serves as our design system. Ever since the Adobe update which includes the annoying popup in the upper right corner above the libraries, the entire functionality of the document is zero. We are unable to select any of the options in the popup (we want to Replace '/' characters) or even close the popup. Meanwhile, the entire document is unusable, frozen. The only way to escape is to force quite XD.

 

This happens all the time, no matter what the circumstances: whether only one person is in the document, or multiple people are in the document. Also, the team this document is shared with uses a variety of machines and OS. Some use MAC computers (all updated to the latest versions, etc.) and some of us use Windows 10 on PC. The same frozen issue is happening for every single person on this shared document.

 

We have all done all the usual troubleshooting tips that are boilerplate advice in this forum. We're hoping that this is a bug that we can log with Adobe and have resolved quickly.

Correction: the annoying popup happens in the upper LEFT (not right) corner of the screen, above the library menu.

This finally resolved itself - but it took 1.5+ hours for my click on the Replace '/' characters to work.
