We're so sorry to hear about the trouble. If you have Windows OS, please install the latest OS updates, as in some of the cases, we have found that updating OS have resolved such issues. So please update Windows OS and then uninstall XD using the cleaner tool https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html and once uninstalled, please re-install XD and let us know if that helps or if you need any further assistance.
