I'm having this issue with Windows 10 Enterprise. It can't install the new version and now our Windows user is out of sync with the Mac user. Is this going to be a thing going forward where you can only use the latest version if you have the latest version of Mac OS or Windows? That's going to really create a issue in our corporate world.

Hey, I had the same issue yesterday.
I made a 100% clean install of windows and therefore had to reinstall all programs.
After install, the app opened but only would show a white screen and after ~30sec the app closed automaticly.
After restarting my pc now, the app works just fine and my guess is that you just have to restart your PC after instalation.

Thanks this one helps me I try out all things described upside as well but nothing happens when I just scroll down to here and find this simply restart and yes it's working fine to me.

As of this morning I am having this exact same problem.

I have also checked that I have the latest .NET installed, and I do.
"WOW..Easy fix just install latest .NET FRAMEWORK 4.8 and its done"
Any advice?

This can be resolved by updating the registry key with following path.
Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Associations
Under Associations you will have BlockProtocolElevation set to 1. You set to impty. Here you go.... It will work.
Note:- You should have installed directx and vs redistributable.
