Adding elements into existing components

When I attempt to add an object/element into an existing component, it doesn't allow it.  I've watched a couple of tutorials and it shows it can be done.  Seems like a simple thing to do, but I can't figure it out.  I've tried cutting/pasting and dragging/dropping into the component and it only lets me place the element as another layer outside of the component.  I hope I've explained my issue in a way that someone has an answer?

Hi Chris,

Thank you for reaching out. From what I understand from your post, you're trying to add objects inside your existing component. I have looked for a similar discussion which may help you find the workaround to add the object to the existing component.

Please check out this forum thread: Cannot add layers to existing Component and let us know if this is what you are looking for?

Thanks,

Harshika

Why does everything in this program require a workaround? What is going on?
