Cant go back to an overlaying artboard

Hi, I am trying building an app, and I have run into some trouble. When I try to go back to an artboard that is overlaying another artboard, I just land at the overlaying artboard, but the overlay isn't working (pretty hard to explain with words). 

The video in the attachments should explain my issue.

I want to go back to the overlay artboard so that it still overlays the artboard with the games.

I think I'm getting what you're trying to do.

You're on screen A, open the Overlay by tapping on icon, and then navigate to screen B.

On screen B you tap the icon again, and are suprised to see just the Overlay. Correct ?

I created a simple setup to test it, but I get it to work quite easily. See the screen below.
