Hi, I had a sudden internet outage last night when having an XD file open in the background. As a result, my entire file has seemed to have disappeared?! There were no unsaved changes but after my internet came back up, the file can no longer be opened - I just get stuck on a loading bar - however, a prior developer export (linked) seems to still be accessible. 

 

Can someone help me understand what happened, and more importantly tell me if I can use the link to recreate the XD file?

Sorry to hear about the trouble. I am afraid, there is no automated process to recreate the file with the developer link. However, we can try recovering the file for you,  I'd request if you can share a few more details like:

 

  1. The version of Adobe XD and the Operating System.
  2. Was it a cloud document or a local document?
  3. If it was a cloud document, could you please check if you are able to access an older version of the file by following the steps here: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/open-revert-cloud-document-version.html

Hi Rishabh, following your instructions, I was able to download a version of the file from Creative Cloud and save it to my laptop, which is editable. Thanks for your help!

 

My system details:

Mac OSX 10.15.4 (Catalina)

XD version: 28.9.12.2 Starter
Creative Cloud Sync: 4.3.42.4

I see now in the release notes that there are some known issues with Creative Cloud, I will save them locally from now.
