[Design]-Fixed width of components issue in XD.

Hey folks!

I'm battling with components. Is there any way to maintain a fixed width? For example, each time I create a new instance of a component and edit the text within, XD seems to always snap to the size of the content.  Is there any way to stop this?

This is rather frustrating when creating a vertical menu, as each Nav Item needs to use the full width of vertical nav bar but has different length text. The issue is compounded when factoring in each component state (as text needs to be changed for each state)

many thanks to you all!

Hi Roberto,

Thank you for reaching out. It looks like you are trying adjust the szie of the button as of text. If so, would you mind checking this feature: https://theblog.adobe.com/introducing-content-aware-layout-adobe-xd/ ? Let us know if that helps.

If this is not what you are looking for, could you please share a short video for better understanding. We will try our best to help.

Thanks,

Harshika
