I can't open an XD file because it says it was created in a higher version. But my XD is in the latest version (30.3.12.5). How do I solve this?

I reinstalled XD and it worked. But why doesn't the Creative Cloud update work? Will I need to reinstall the applications every time there is an update?

Hi Elyson,

Thanks for reaching out. The current version of XD is 33.1.12.4 so it looks like the XD app on your computer is not up to date, so could you please try updating the app by following the steps shared here: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

If you are still unable to update to the latest version, please uninstall and re-install XD and let us know if that helps or if you need any further assistance.

Regards

Rishabh

In item 4 of the help, when I click on Applications, my creative cloud does not show the auto-update option. The only options available are:

Installation:
- Place of installation
- Standard installation language

Settings:
- Show old apps

Could you please try re-installing the application and let us know how it goes. If it still doesn't work, please share a few screenshots of what it shows on your end.

It looks like an issue with the Creative Cloud Desktop app, so could you please check if the desktop app is updated to the latest version which is 5.3.1.470? If not, I'd recommend reinstalling the Creative Cloud Desktop app as well.
