Font height or the space of font taking

Hi,
I am using MAC.
Why Adobe XD does this to text? It makes the proper spacing impossible between text boxes. Different fonts have different height without setting any box height. In photoshop this font has a normal height. Even there sometimes fonts have a very weird height, but in XD it is more visible. Is there any way to change this?
I can create little guides for myself but for developers it would be the easiest to measure the distance between 2 elements, but this way that distance is incorrect. I am not sure how they could measure the distances this way.
