AreaText fields aren't rendering properly in my prototypes when viewed on mobile if the AreaText includes line breaks.

Removing the line breaks from the AreaText restores the correct font.

Example below:
Screenshot from my phone using the Adobe XD app on Android.

Font rendering correctly for 'Notes'Font rendering correctly for 'Notes'

Same screenshot, with additional text with a line break.

Font rendering incorrectly for 'Notes' (There is a line break after 'river crossing.')Font rendering incorrectly for 'Notes' (There is a line break after 'river crossing.')

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you are having troube. We would like to know a few more details like-

  • What is the Os & XD version of your machine?
  • Is it happening with a specific font?
  • Is it happening with all the files or with a specific file?

We will try our best to help.

Thanks,

Harshika

OS: Windows 10 Pro version: 1903,  Build Number: 18362.535
XD version 24.4.22.1

Seems to occur with any font - all get reverted to the default font.

Seems to happen with any file viewed on the mobile XD

Just noticed that after 20 seconds of viewing an artboard on the mobile, a dialog appears saying a 'font missing'.
"One or more fonts used in this document can not be displayed on this device. A default font will be used
Arial, Italic
"

Thank you for sharing the additional information. We would request you to please try the solution mentioned in this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/fonts/kb/troubleshoot-font-activation.html and if that doesn't help, please try updating XD to the latest version and check if your system requires an update.

We would also suggest checking the latest update to your graphic card and let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Harshika

Thanks for replying -

Have followed through that article and can confirm Fonts are activated in my Creative Cloud Account.

Note the font not appearing occurs in the mobile app not the desktop application. Running the latest version of the Android XD mobile app available on the Play store.

Thanks

Thanks for the confirmation. Would you mind trying to use Point Text option instead of Area text and share the results with us?

Thanks,

Harshika

Hi there,
Point text renders correctly on mobile with line breaks, but not area text.
