Thank you for confirming. The reason this error seems to surface is, when you export the asset for the first time to a specific location, that particular location now has the exported asset with the specific file assets name. Now when we export assets with the same name and at the same specific location then it creates a conflict. That's why changing the export location resolves this. If you don't want to export to a different location, please change the name assigned to the assets.

Hi Ajith,

Sorry to hear about the trouble, we'll try our best to help you with it. Could you please share a few more details like;

  1. The version of XD and the OS.
  2. Are you getting this error while exporting to a specific format or on all formats?
  3. Have you tried changing the destination of the export? Please try that and let us know if that helps?

Regards

Rishabh

I'm adding to this thread as I had the same issue and found a solution.

In my case no files would export and xd would either crash or say that there was an error exporting. I found that the folder I was trying to export to was marked as read only in windows. I tried to unmark it as read only but it kept resetting back no matter how many times I tried.

It was the Ransomware protection feature that was protecting my folders, meaning that xd couldn't write to a read only folder. To fix this you either have to turn off Ransomware protection in Windows (or your anti-virus software) or add xd as an allowed program so that it can write to protected folders.

I hope this helps someone as it was a very frustrating problem!
