How to disable automatic group when copying and pasting multiple objects?

I don't know how, maybe I used a wrong shortcut, since a couple of days ago every time I copy and paste multiple objects the pasted objects are placed inside an object group.

 

Do you know how to disable this option?

I am using Adobe XD on a Windows PC.

The grouping happens automatically if the space that you're pasting to is smaller than the set of objects you're pasting. This won't happen if you choose a target that can accept it. Hope that helps!

Hello Eleine,

 

It actually happens to me everytime (at least with a cloud document, with another non-cloud file it all works fine), the automatic grouping happens even if I just select the whole artboard and paste the objects (in the very same position from another artboard).

 

Do you have any other idea on how it can happen?

That's strange. I am not able to reproduce your issue on Mac OS 10.13. 

 

Can you provide us with more information on 

  • Your OS and its version number. Also build number if you are on Windows.
  • Your Adobe XD version.

 

It would also help if you could create a quick video and share the link here.

Hello Preran,

 

Here it is my system information:

  • OS: Windows 10 Pro (version 1903, build 18362.418)
  • XD: version 24.1.22.6 (Starter), Creative Cloud Sync 0.0.0.0

 

I have uploaded a video (it didn't catch the right click menu but I was simply copying and pasting the selected objects and then ungrouping them in order to select them individually):

Thank you for sharing the details. We have tried to reproduce the same at our end on XD version(24.2.22.8) on windows10 and it is worked fine at our end.

 

Would you mind updating XD to the latest version and share your results with us?
