How to Duplicate XD Cloud File - Then share to only different team?

Hi There.

I can't seem to find this one in the documentation, so here goes...

Use Case:

  1. Currently have one XD Cloud document = hypothetically called "Document One."
  2. Co-Editing Enabled
  3. "Share for Review" - currently shared with ten reviewers
  4. "Share for Development" - currently shared with two developers

Objective:

  1. Share an exact copy of "Document One" to a different set of users - for instance internal review team.
  2. "Save as" "Document One" to new document, "Document Two."
  3. When "Document Two" is now opened, it will have the exact same team who can "review" document as "Document One"
  4. When removing people from "Document Two" - those people are then automatically removed from "Document One" - which I'd like to not have this happen.
  5. Is there a way to unlink these two documents?

Current Work Around:

  1. Create brand new document and copy from "Document One" to "New Document"
  2. This works fine except when there are many artboards - Over 100 art boards seems to be very difficult to do unless it is done in chunks which is then time consuming.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you

Chris

Hi Chris, I just tried to replicate your situation and found that I can quite easily create 'document one' share with someone, save as 'document two' then share with different people. I don't have the same group appearing on the second instance of the file.

Can you let us know which OS and XD version you are using just in case there's an update you could do.
I'm on Windows10 with XD Version 24.3.22.2
