How to limit access to "Edit Master in Source Document"?

We have a large number of designers and we're all making the transition to XD.  One of the nice features we saw is the ability to have Master components in a cloud document that others can just link to.  However they all have the ability to edit the Master component in the source document. We'd like to retain centralized control.

Is there a way to limit linked assets to read-only (while retaining the ability to locally override as it currently is)?  The system seems to be built for either a single user or a very small team of just a few people.  For example, when someone makes changes, there's nothing that indicates who made the change, or what the change is.  Also, there's no way to 'Deny changes', just 'Accept changes', or to revert back to a previous version of a document that I can see.

This could be a really nice feature for managing a larger brand if some type of permissioning system is put into place.

Thanks
