I don't know if this is an Illustrator problem or a XD problem.
We had another artist who created their artboards in XD for some reason when they are going into an editable PowerPoint. We now need them in illustrator files. There is no, export or save as an Illustrator file. When we try and copy and paste the layers inside of XD into Illustrator, it acts very strangely. The object itself does not get placed where it would normally be located on the artboard. That's not the main issues though. The problem is that it seems to be coming in with some sort of bounding box but there is no bounding box layer inside either program. If we try and move the object layer, it won't move at all which is why we thought it was just a bounding box issue because it gets cropped off. But, if you move it far enough from the original position of the layer, it shows a copy of that layer like the thing is endlessly replicated in all directions. Ideas?
I'd show a screenshot but I don't think I'm allowed to show the project because it includes the company's logo.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. You can export an Adobe XD file in multiple formats and to use the asset in Adobe Illustrator you can export the file in either of these formats like SVG, PNG, and PDF and then you can place the file in Illustrator rather than copying and pasting the file. For more information on exporting assets, you can refer to this help article: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/xd/help/extract-assets-from-design-specs.html#Exportassetsfromdesignspecs
Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.
Regards
