Linked components break after update to master component

I've got an issue where a few of my linked components break after I update the master component. And I mean break. I've tried "Reset to master component", but it does nothing.

The master component consists of two other linked components from the same file, the background, and two text boxes.

Hi Henrik are you referring to the link between different documents feature or are you working in a single document?

Which OS are you using and which version of XD do you have installed?

OS: MacOS 10.15.1 Beta

Xd: 23.1.32

If you have a computer with an official version of MacOS installed on it, can you try reproducing this issue on that computer and let us know? I am trying to check if this is an issue related to the Beta version, or a more generic issue.
