Hi I currently use XD to create web designs for clients providing them with an artboard for mobile / tablet / desktop. I want to use text components to be able to easily replace text across all artboards, but I am having issues with the mobile artboard. I require the font to be smaller on the mobile artboard and when I change the font size to be smaller for that component and then change the text in the master component it no longer updates the text on the mobile artboard.

Changing other parts of the element like colours etc seem to work fine but if I change the font size then it no longer updates.

Is there a work around I can do?

Thanks in advance.

However, a design system is only as usable as the degree of flexibility it provides. You can start with the same original element, but you have to customize it depending on the context where it is used. That’s where instances come in. When you edit any instance of a component, it does not affect the master component. Every property you change is considered an override.....
