Masked component not updated (tileable dot-pattern)

I have a component (a dot) in a repeating pattern that is masked by a rectangle (to create a dotted tileable pattern).

If I now edit the primary component (the single dot) the dots inside the masked pattern will not be updated.

Also, if I un-group the pattern the component is not shown anymore. When masked again, it will re-appear.

I can update component instances in a repeat grid by editing the master component (under a mask), so not an universal issue I think. I am on Mac - are you on Windows?
