Multi level Menu slide in XD

Hi,

I am trying to get a prototype together that brings in a side menu and each time layers up the next menu, i almost have what i what but i can't figure out how to do it smoothly. If i use new artboard and a new page it brings across the header as well and if i use overlay i can't seem to get a multi level look going where it layers up.

images below of what i am trying to achieve. Hopefully that is clear.

step1 homepage

step2 menu slides in

step3 next layer of menu slider over the second menu... and so on

Further to this i understand you can't nest overlays which would probably have the desired effect so does anyone know how else you would acheive this?

Actually you can nest hover. It just doesnt show up in the XD preview. It work when you create the link for testing.
