Hello,

We are building a design system for our UX/UI teams.

We would like to share a XD file to the entire team. This file would contain the design system.

How to protect it form accidental changes ?

What are the good practices for sharing master document ?
Thak a lot

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. While sharing a master document, as of now, we don't have an option to manage access writes which can limit the user's to edit the document. I'd request you to please upvote this request to add voice to this feature: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/37795420-manage-access-rights-for-cloud-documents-view-onl

As a workaround, I'd recommend using the CC library. You can import all your components in a CC library. Then you can share it with the members of your team. With this approach, you can set permissions (edit, read-only). This way your team can work with the elements without breaking the consistency. But, doing so, if you want to update an element inside the library, you have to delete it and re-import the updated one.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions.
