Adobe XD latest build on Windows 10:

1. No Cmd/Ctrl+W to close? (Edit: Now there is from v38 on I believe.)

2. How do you close the file without closing Adobe XD?

Nice! Adobe XD has a wonderfully clever way of pulling custom guides out of the edge of an artboard and gives a clever numeric feedback on distances. I wish InDesign would adopt this!

Xd keeps each file in a separate windows, instead of tabs like Photoshop, Illustrator or others.

You can click on the home icon at the top to open a new Xd window at the home screen (or Ctrl+N), and then close the file you were working on. But I guess that doesn't make much of a difference 🙂 You're still closing / opening separate instances of the program.

You can import images, and you can drag n drop from Finder and Explorer. You can drag from Adobe Bridge,

but ...

Adobe Bridge has no Send to Adobe XD. Bridge has a Place In and lists all sorts of things, but no Adobe XD.

Here is an interesting observation:

I imported a text file and it dressed itself as 20/27 Segoe (this being on Windows; not my MacBook Pro). What made it pick 20 points on 27 point line height spacing? Is that some sort of default character style? Can it be edited? Is it always the same default? Is it set in preferences, although there are no accessible preferences? Why are there no preferences accessible?
