Spaces not visible in area text at the beginning of line

Hey there,

experienced something weird that I wanted to share. When creating an area text box and typing spaces at the beginning of a line, they don't show up until you type a character (such as a-z). I don't know why this is happening and it also confuses me that it is not happening for point text.

I am on macOS 10.15.1 with adobe xd 24.4.22 (latest).
