Stuck on an OLD version of XD 29 and need to get to the latest v32

Stuck on Version of 29.0.32.13 of XD and have went every way in which it is documented to update it to the latest version but nothing is working. I go to creative cloud online updates - nothing available, I try to uninstall to reinstall but the uninstall for xd v29 is not working. Just sitting there when I click uninstall. When I click update from the Help menu in XD it allows me to click it then does nothing. I need to open an XD file that was built in a newer version and I cant get to the newest version of XD. Help please.
