Unable to update XD

When trying to update XD, I keep getting an error that says to save and close conflicting work before continuing.  I followed the instructions under help, but the problem is that no other work is open. Does anyone know how to fix it?  TIA

Hi Megan, Thanks for reaching out. Could you please try quitting the XD process from Task Manager/Activity monitor and then try again.  If that doesn't help, please reboot your machine and then try again. Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance. Regards Rishabh
