All of a sudden there happened to be this weird auto-animate quirk when I switch between my "home screen" and my "maps screen". The home screen button acts as if it's position is not at the same position. Instead I get some kind of rotating animation. I checked if I made any layer naming mistakes but couldn't find anything. I only use the auto-animate action between the home screen artboard and map artboard. On the other artboards I used a simple transition action. I hope you guys could help me! I made a short video to demonstrate what I tried to explain.
I can't tell for sure from the video which effects you do and don't want.
But the whole idea of Auto Animate is that elements on two artboards which share the same names, will be animated by interpolating their differences in size, position, and (most) characteristics. Elements with matching names which are not possible to interpolate, will mostly just (dis)appear by dissolving.
Hope this helps...

I just checked the new document history function and realised that this problem occured after I named the layers the same. They had different names before. So I kind of solved the problem, but I still don't get why the button acts the way it does
