Hi guys. I wanted to ask after exporting an artboard from XD to AE, and adding animations to it, how do I get it bcak to XD? to I have to render it as a video?
Sorry for the delay in response, Moe. If I get you right, you might have exported your design into Aftereffects to add animation. However, unfortunately, XD doesn't support animations or videos yet but yes this is definitely a most awaited feature. I assume this is one of the reason that bringing back the AfterEffect file into XD is not supported as of now.
I would request you to please submit your feedback and upvote the request.
Hope it helps.
Thanks,
Harshika

Thanks for reaching out. I found a similar discussion here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-xd/common-practices-xd-lt-gt-ae-to-mobile-app-prototyping/m-p/1...
Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Hi thanks. But no it doesn't answer it my question. I see that Adobe is promoting the fact that you can export art boards from XD to AE to do more complex animations, but after that, how do you return that animation to XD?
The link you provided is not a discussion, just a vote. So what format do we render from AE to get the art back into XD?
