For the last 6 weeks or so I have been unable to launch adobe XD. I have tried every solution I have encountered on the forums and help pages, including completely uninstalling all adobe products, using the adobe cleaner tool, reinstalling, updating windows, updating CC and XD. I have tried installing XD through creative cloud and as an independent install and nothing has worked. I cannot open any of my existing XD projects. When I attempt to open one I get an error with the file path of the project and message 'The app didn't start.'

Here is my application error event:

Can we assume your system meets min requirements to run XD?

Adobe XD System requirements

Which version of Windows do you have?

Did you use the CC Cleaner tool before re-installing?

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

I ask because it looks like Acrobat is the faulting application.  Do you even have Acrobat & can you start it?

I am running Windows 10 Pro version 10.0.17763. My system does meet the minimum requirements for XD, and I had been using XD successfully until about 6 weeks ago. I did use the CC Cleaner tool (that's what I was trying to refer to by the 'adobe cleaner tool').

I have Acrobat and it does run successfully.

You say this all started about 6 weeks ago.   I have seen reports that CrowdStrike anti-virus caused problems with some Adobe products.  However the latest version of CrowdStrike fixed the problems,

Hi, check if an Adobe XD update is available. If not, try installing Adobe XD again.

I have updated/uninstalled/deleted/reinstalled at least a dozen times at this point. This morning I tried to run the most updated version of XD with no success

Hi Keenanm,

Sorry that you're having trouble that you had to go through and thanks for sharing all the troubleshooting steps that you have tried.  I would request you try the steps mentioned here: - Adobe XD shows white screen after launch and crashes on Windows and share the results.

Thanks,

Atul_Saini
