XD freezes when saving a local document for the first time

Everytime I start a new document and save it as a local document XD freezes and is unresponsive. I have to force quit it (Mac). I have the most recent version of XD and Catalina.

How can I fix this?

It also now crashes on exporting artboards as png.

We're so sorry to hear about the trouble and for the delay in response. Are you still facing the issue on the latest version of XD which is 35.1? If yes, please share a few more details like:

1. Is this happening on a specific file or multiple files?
2. Have you tried re-installing XD?
