XD Installer does not launch

Hi, I have the following problem with XD - I downloaded the .dmg file to install and when I double click the installer it does not launch at all and therefore I am unable to even install. Has anybody encountered this and knows how to fix it?

Sorry to hear about the trouble.  Could you please try to download the software from the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop by following the steps shared here: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/download-creative-cloud-apps.html
