AE application freeze & crash - AE 24.1.0.34 MacOS 14 M1 Max

Steps to reproduce:

I work off Google Drive, which has been fine, until the last AE beta update, where projects seem to freeze on asset download, but never seems to recover (spinning beachball, no assets downloading), and I have to force quit AE. I've attached logs, which show a few warnings and errors. 
I'm able to open the same project in AE 23.6 without a problem.

Result: crash
Expected: project to open

OS: macOS v14.0.0, RAM: 64.00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 10 (M1 Max)

There is a change we have been working on which may be related, but I'm trying to find out if the change has gone in. That said, I'm surprised this even worked for you up until now and with 23.6. Cloud syncing folders have caused no end of issues with AE over the years.
