Layer selections in effects don't work

I'm not sure if it's only 3rd party plugins, but yesterday when I was using Mocha AE, when I tried to select the target layer to apply the track to, I could click on the pop-up menu to select the layer, but as soon as I released the mouse button/menu, the selection went back to being empty. Today, when using Deep Glow, I'm trying to select a layer to sue as a mask, and I get the same problem. If I open the same project in AE2022 (public release 22.4.0 Build 56) it works OK.

Thanks for reporting this issue. There was a breakage around dropdown menus in the Beta builds around the time you reported this, which has since been fixed. Please let us know if you encounter this again in the latest Beta version.
