  1.  Select a text layer.
  2. Choose Animation > Browse Presets…
  3. In Adobe Bridge, choose a text effect to apply.

Result: ...Error: Can't import file "[name-of-effect.ffx": unsupported filetype or extension. (0::1)

Expected: Animation Preset should be applied. This works as expected (no error) in AE 22 (non beta).

Same thing for me, please address this! I have created several of my own presets and can't access any of them.

Hi @newmaterial & @jackthegiantslayer,

Thank you both for reporting this bug. The latest Beta builds ( greater than version 22.4.0.36 ) contain a fix for this issue. Please try applying presets from Bridge again and let us know if you are successful.

Thanks again,

- John, After Effects Engineering Team

Hi,

Is it fixed?

Same error message appears in my program.

' After effests error ; Can't import file "Random Fly off.ffx" ; unsupported filetype or extention. (0::1) '

My AE version is 23.3.0 (Build 53), Br version 03.03.693.

Hi @Claire_naya,

When double-clicking a preset, this error is sometimes shown. The workaround is to use the right-click > Place In After Effects... command instead. Please let us know if that also shows the same error for you. We are continuing to work with the Bridge team for a holistic fix for this issue.
