I think it's important to be able to select properties from the new Properties Panel.
A lot of third party tools ask the user to select a property first in order to act upon it.
To make the new Properties Panel more attractive and better integrated, I believe it should allow users to do it from there.
Users might neglect if after giving it a chance if they are constantly reminded that they have to, from time to time, select properties from the timeline instead.
While you can double click to expose a property in the timeline and then select it from there, that's 3 extra clicks and one extra mouse drag (often across the entire screen).
Thanks for the great work on it otherwise. It's coming together really nicely.
