Ae crashes when applying Mocha [Ae] Tracking Data [Ae 2022 and 2023 Mac and Pc] constantly.

Ae crashes when applying Mocha [Ae] Tracking Data [Ae 2022 and 2023 Mac and Pc] constantly.

The only solve for me at this stage is to Clear Mocha Cache [fully in appy] save, save Ae, generate tracking data, save again [Ae], apply tracking data and hope like hell it doesn't crash. Mocha Ae is my goto everyday and 99.5% of my tracking is solved with Mocha... this issue is costing me time and money!

 This wasn't an issue until Ae 2022+ 

If there is a solve pending I'd love to hear it.

Windows 10 [Home] x64 Series - vs 22H2 

AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core 3.40 GHz

128 GB RAM

 

Mac OS Monterey [Last update] 

iMac 2017 [Full spec] 4 Core [AMD] 4K Retina Display. Currently offsite so can't provide exact details untill tomorrow

64 BG RAM

 

This is has persisted since updating to Ae 2022 a while back.

I have jsut reset Mocha Ae to it's defaults in the preferences pane... and re-installed Ae 2023. Now everytime I save and [or just exit] exit the plugin Ae crashes. I am on a deadline and this is killin' me. 2022 still seems to function, and rolling all my projects to be compatible so I can continue working for the time being. Any help here will be of great benefit.

Thank you for reporting this issue, sorry to see you're experiencing this issue with the Mocha plug-in. Tagging @ImagineerSystems to take a closer look.

 

You've mentioned this is happening across two systems with different OSs. That is very unusual and points to another factor that both systems have in common e.g. a script or panel, or a common video format being used. Can you think of anything that you are using on both systems fitting that criteria?

 

When you experience the crash, is the Crash Reporter dialog shown? If so, have you been able to submit a crash report with your email and a message about what action caused the crash? These crash reports are vital in helping us diagnose and fix crashing issues, so please submit those if you are prompted to do so.

Hey @JohnColombo ,

 

You're probably right... I'm usually on point when it comes to problem solving and worked a solve using lockdown. Since my original post, I have upgraded the OSX on my Mac, so far so good. I'm currently away for the Christmas break, however I'll be back in the mix early next year and will run some more tests on both platforms. Appreciate you getting back to me. Many thanks, Rich
