AE playback/preview will not show my recent edits/throws off all timing, I feel insane.

I am so frustrated. I cannot find any other question like this. Right now I'm using a 3D layer with images going past a camera. Images are in a pre-comp. Simple. However, when I swap out images and play back my sequence the preview will reset and only show the old edits AND it doesn't make sense in terms of sync/placement. This is extremely frustrating and happens in other projects that AREN'T 3D as well. I've tried so many things to fix playback errors, nothing. Even upon closing the program and opening up, the initial view is of my current edit, however upon pressing play there's the wrong images again. 

I don't get any error messages, nothing. I just get to feel crazy.

What version of AE?

Do you have the disk cache on or off?

This is on AE 2023 and 2024. I just updated them again today so right now I'm working off of 23.6.6. 
Disk cache was on. I already cleared those.

I also restarted from an older save and tried to recreate the file. I've finally received an error when seeing the glitch appear again + tried to delete a photo that would not go invisible. I got "strange situation 26::82 "

1. Start AE

2. Help -> Enable Logging

3. Restart AE

4. Reproduce the issue

5. Help -> Reveal Logging Files...

6. Find "After Effects Log.txt" and post the contents back here.
