After Effects 25.2.2 (Win) viewport darker with windows HDR enabled

Hello.

Currently running into a very frustrating issue where after effects v25.2.2 makes the whole comp viewport (not just the comp itself but also it's background) much darker when I have HDR enabled on windows and I have any colorspace selected (like srgb, rec709 etc, on a 32bit project). If I have colorspace selected to "none" it looks as expected.

I'm not able to take a screenshot as windows snipping tool makes the image blow out when capturing so I had to take some photos of my monitor with my phone.
On the photos you can see that with colorspace "none" the comp looks as expected, but when switched to any other colorspace (srgb in this particular photo) the comp and the comp background turns significantly darker.

I have tried to updated After effects, reset preferences, dissable all plugins, re-install after effects, update nvidia drivers, revert back to much older drivers, update windows, but nothing is solving this issue.

I'll also add that this issue is not occuring on the after effects version 24.6.3 that I have installed on the exact system with the same drivers. The issue is not project specific but happens with any new project.

Windows 11 24H2. Ryzen 9 3900X. RTX 5090. 128GB RAM.

Would appreciate some help on this.
Best,
Vitaliy
