Bug Report: Resizing the composition causes the 3D layer to shift.

If you resize the composition using the "Crop Comp to Region of Interest" feature in version 17.5.1, there will be a difference in the display between 2D and 3D layers with the same X and Y numbers.
It didn't happen in versions prior to 17.1.4.

The following reproduction procedure
1, Creating a composition
2, Create a new layer
3, Resize the composition using "Crop Comp to Region of Interest"
4, Check the 3D layer.

Other than "Crop Comp to Region of Interest", the same phenomenon occurs when resizing with "Composition Settings / Advanced / Anchor" selected other than the center.
Also, if you open a project file saved in version 17.5 or later in version 17.1.4 or earlier, the displayed position will change.

The workaround I've found is to place the camera layer to restore the display.

Thank you.

Thanks very for filing this bug report and including images of the problem. We are able to reproduce the issue as well and will investigate a fix for a future version of After Effects.

I've found this problem too - it's infuriating ! The 2D / 3D X & Y positions are the same, but visually, in the comp window, they're not.

Unacceptable from Adobe really...

I figured out the problem. If there is no camera in the scene, when you change the comp size without a camera in the comp, the new default camera is created closer to the comp center than it should be. You can fix the framing by adding a default camera, selecting the camera position, right-clicking, and choosing reset.

I discovered this by changing the comp size and resetting the default camera.

I have never encountered this problem because I always add a camera to a 3D comp as part of my standard workflow. Perspective is controlled by camera position, and framing is by focal length. I only want to include 3D layers to gain control over the perspective changes when layers animate, so I need control over the camera.

Repositioning of the default camera should be a fairly easy mathematical fix.
