I have to force quit After Effects EVERYTIME, there is no error or freezing going on it just refuses to close through the file menu or right click.

Without any system info or crash logs nobody can tell you anything. You need to be much more specific.

Could you let us know if you’re using a Mac or Windows? Also, are there any error messages appearing when you try to run After Effects?
As a troubleshooting step, try running After Effects in Safe Mode and see if that resolves the issue. Let us know how it goes! 😊
