i cant put drop shadow effect on text because it says theres no entry point idk what that means

Could you share a screenshot to help us understand the issue better?

you can try this: Go to Effect > Manage Effects > uncheck "Only Show Third-Party Effects" and search for Drop Shadow. Ensure it is enabled.
