Getting the "low memory warning" in Ae  24.2.1. I am running on a brand new iMac M3 - 24 ram - 1 tb drive. I have no plug-ins installed.  Sessions devolve into 10 - 20 frames previewed only no matter what quaility level I choose.  Definatly a bug in the software. I am 16+ year user of Ae.

I did try the Beta version and no luck there either.

Would you be able to share a project that causes the low memory warning? Do you also have Premiere Pro or other Adobe apps open at the same time?

I am not running any other Adobe apps at the same time. Since this is a new
machine I only have Ae and Ps installed but not running at the same time.
The only other app I have been using is Blender. I don't have Maxon
plug-ins or any other junk installed on this machine. It's pretty clean and
brand new.

Attached is the project file. This one was created directly in Ae 24.2.1
and runs better but the low memory issue persists. Goes away upon restart
of Ae. But it comes back eventually.

If I open up a project file created in Ae 23.2.1 it gives low memory very
quickly.

The zip file is the project file. Sorry it's 2 GB. But this is nothing that
shouldn't work. I've used Ae extensively for 15+ years and this should be
easy work for it. This particular file worked fine for about 30 minutes
then bugged out. restart and works fine for a while.

Also is a screen recording of what happens when it bugs out. The "low
memory" warning flashed for a second but goes away but the problem does not.

I think the issue I'm having is related to Quicktime Animation Codec with Alpha.  I have been exporting from Blender with QT Animation RGBA format.  I did a test and converted said files to ProRez H244 with Alpha and the problem seems to have gone away.  I then dropped the old  QT Animation RGBA file back in and the "low memoery" popped up quickly.  So maybe that's it?  There is still some bugginess with the previews but not the "low memory" issue.  I'll know more tomorrow when I am hopefully able to get some work done. Fingers crossed.
