NEED HELP: entire ui is stuttering and flickering when playback

so i updated from 24.6.3 to 25.0 and this weird flickering thing is happening whenever I'm playing anything( video is provided below) everything feels so choppy and stuttery , does anyone know how to fix this issue

i have tried reinstalling after effects and my graphics drivers but the issue is still there 

cpu: 5700x

gpu: 4070 ti super , drivers: nvidia studio drivers 565.90

ram: 32 gb

os: windows 11

I'm not sure what the overlay is you're using. AE 25.0 has changed the output of the comp panel though to use Direct 2D instead of GDI so it is possible there is an issue with the overlay you're using and it will need to be updated.

It's msi afterburner and even if i disable it the issue is still there playback is still stuttering but i can't capture it with any recording software, so i have to use this overlay to show you what's happening in real time
