Online at Adobe Fonts activated Fonts visible only after Restart of AE

After activating a font at Adobe Fonts Online wonderful Font Collection, there pops up a Message from Windows, that the fonts are added.

But in AE they are not visible in the Font Menue. After Restarting AE, they are shown there. This is not very nice, while trying lots of fonts for finding the right one for a Project...

It would be Absolutely fantastic, if this could be fixed!!!

Once you add an Adobe Font, you need to go to the Creative Cloud Application and make it Available for Adobe & other local apps.

Initially fonts are made available in this fashioin You need to click on the cloud/download icon to make them available for AE without requiring a restart.

That's not ideal. Sorry to hear that, Matthias.

Are you using any other font utility? Can you try signing out of the Creative Cloud desktop app and signing back in? If that doesn't bring any change, run After Effects in Safe Mode and test.

Let me know.

Thanks,
Nishu

Ohhhh!
Thanks for the quick feedback!
After activating it for all programs in the Creative Cloud app, the font does indeed show up in AE. Thanks a lot for the help! I had only used this a few times before to use fonts in programs that are not from Adobe...
Thank you very much and have a nice day!

Hi @Paul Uu

Is that a new workflow?  In the past, I could have sworn I just added the font from the website and that was it.

It is a necessary workflow for AE and Premiere Pro at the current time.

Ideally the download step should not be required and we are working to resolve that issue.
