Project File Deletion when Working with NAS in After Effects

Hello Adobe Support,

I encountered a serious issue when working with After Effects over remote drives. The problem occurs when creating a project within a folder structure, then copying it to a NAS system at my company. After starting and saving the project, the file gets deleted without warning. Unlike Premiere Pro, where a path change error message is displayed, After Effects simply erases the project file, leaving it completely non-existent.

To clarify, no plugins are installed in my After Effects setup.

Please investigate this issue as it can lead to significant data loss.

Best regards,
Özgün Nurtas

That's not ideal.

Could you share some details about your NAS system and the version of After Effects you're using? Does it happen every time or randomly? Can you screen-record this behavior for us to see? Please include the repro steps.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,
Nishu
