18.4.1 Won't Open/launch

Been trying to launch After Effects past couple of days and it keeps on coming up with an error saying "an error occurred" and it needs to close.

 

Tried uninstalling and going for a fresh install but doesn't seem to have made a difference. 

 

Anyone else been having similar problems and is there a way to fix this?

If you are a Windows user, you also try to update the driver of the graphic card.

try these tools to remove all your adobe installed app then try a fresh installation https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Sorry for your issue.

If OussK's suggestion doesn't help, please share your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS) so that we know what are we working with. Also, a screenshot of the error message and crash report?

Try running After Effects as administrator (right click After Effects icon > Run as administrator).

OS - Windows 10 Home 64-bit

CPU - Intel Core i9 9900KF @ 3.60GHz

RAM - 16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1512MHz

GPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER (MSI)
