22.2.1 compatible with M1?

I'm trying out AE v22.2.1 on my new Apple M1 MacBook Pro and have found it is very slow to render when playing back my project if it contains an mp4

I read that it is possible to download the Beta version of AE which runs natively with M1, but I don't see it listed on the CC app.

Also I don't see Rosetta listed when I do a 'Get Info' in Finder on the AE icon?

Hi Matt,

Thanks for reaching out.

Here's how you can install the After Effects beta which is natively supported on M1: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/creative-cloud-beta.html

Let us know if there are any other questions.

Thanks,
