When I create a composition with 256x96 resolution, nothing is visible. Correct the resolution to 97 or 95 and it will reappear.
I've explained this a number of times already, but it simply boils down to GPU acceleration not working below a certain minimum resolution. Apparently that's a bug/ limitation in AE's code. Using odd-numbered values simply fall back to software-only rendering, because GPU acceleration typically only works with power of two values. so for what it's worth, that's nothing new and Adobe have yet to provide a proper fix. For the time being simply work at larger resolutions with a minimum of 128 pixel

For the time being simply work at larger resolutions with a minimum of 128 pixels in either dimension if you need GPU acceleration and crop later with pre-composing or entirely switch to software-based rendering in the first place.
